Subscription drive underway to help keep pool open

As part of the "Coming Together to Save Our Pool" initiative, The Lincoln Journal will hold a subscription drive beginning Friday, March 6, and continuing through Thursday, April 16.

In order to help raise the money needed to keep the pool at the Curry Colvin Recreation Complex open this summer, The Journal will donate $5 for every new subscription received over the next six weeks.

Due to economic shortfalls, the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners is considering closing the Jessie Gunby Aquatic Center for the summer.

"We understand the county's predicament and we'd like to do our part to help," stated Teri Eno, managing editor of The Lincoln Journal.

Refunds will not be issued on new subscriptions purchased in conjunction with the "Coming Together to Save Our Pool" project.
