Frances T. Banks

Mrs. Frances Teasley Banks, 96, wife of the late E. Roy Banks formerly of Bethany Church Road, entered into rest Friday, February 27, 2009 at Lake Crossing Health Care near Appling, Ga.

Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009 Bethany United Methodist Church with Revs. Charles Ivey, Thomas Moon and Bishop Cullen Hicks officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Banks, daughter of the late Bedford A. and Della Brown Teasley, was born in Lincoln County on May 27,1912. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, retired store owner and member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Banks, sons, Carl Banks and Marvin Banks, and daughter, Louise Banks Rowland.

Survivors include a son, Joe Banks and wife, Dean, of Lincolnton; daughter in-law, Betty H. Banks of Lincolnton; grandchildren, John Banks, Christy Ware, Perry Rowland, Bruce Rowland, Rhonda Newberry and Joanna Waller; and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jack Teasley, James Brindel, J.W. Ivey, Michael Florence, Ray Banks, and Wade Ivey.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, in care of Mr. Edwin Burgess, 2578 Remsen Rd., Lincolnton, Ga. 30817.
