We must trust our elected officials

TO THE EDITOR

The county commissioners know that Lincolnton, as well as the state of Georgia, are in economic hard times and they are doing everything they can to stabilize our budget. We all need to work together and try to make these changes for the good of our county.

We are all in this together and we must trust that our elected officials are doing their best for the people in our county.

Chairman Johnson is a good man and wants the best for our county and no one should question this. The cuts that he has had to make are for the good of all the citizens of Lincoln County. Chairman Johnson has worked long and hard on this budget trying to make the best of the mess that he inherited.

What we all need to do is pray that the economic situation improves for our county, our state and our country, and while we are on our knees, we should pray for peace for the county and the world.
