Elijah Clarke Memorial ceremony

Those present during the festivities at Elijah Clarke State Park were the Colonel Elijah Clarke Militia Georgia Society; Georgia Society SAR Color Guard; Georgia Society SAR Color Guard; and representatives from the American Legion Post 194. Portraying Elijah Clarke was Charlie Newcomer; Taylor Atkinson (Elizabeth Clarke) and Vickie Taylor, park curator. After the ceremony over 120 people visited the museum

Dr. Christine Swager, author of "Heroes of Kettle Creek 1779-1782" was the guest speaker at the Elijah Clarke Memorial Ceremony held at the park on Sunday, February 15.
