There have been reports of vandalism recently at the Lewis Family Pavilion, located in the Lincoln County Historical Park. Among other things, vandals have torn insulation from the ceiling of the building and destroyed a sorghum syrup cooking pan, donated to the park from the estate of the late Hillyer Wright, Sr. Apparently, some of the damage was caused by skateboarders. The matter is under investigation by the Lincolnton Police Department.
