Donna Deason Simcox and her dog, Sandy, came to Lincolnton to renew her Lincoln Journal and to attend the Deason Reunion at Hickory Knob State Park. Sandy got sick and had to go to "Dr. Tim" so the three day trip ended up as seven days at the Cullar's Inn. While in Lincolnton, Donna took advantage of the wonderful genealogy center and the wealth of information and help of Dianne Poteat during the research her family. She states we have the best genealogy center she's ever seen and she's seen a lot of them.
