An activity report was issued by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.

Among the arrests made recently were:

.. Xao Thao, 25, of Lincoln County, charged with one count each of computer theft, identity fraud, and forgery in the first degree.

It was noted that the according to the FBI, the defendant may also face over 500 counts of identity theft in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Thao is currently being held in the Lincoln County Law Enforcement Center on a $75,000 property bond.

The case is still under investigation.

.. Timothy Carroll, 44, of Lincoln County, charged with possession of cocaine.

The defendant is incarcerated in the law enforcement center on a $20,000 property bond.

.. Nico Lockhart, 20, of Lincoln County, charged with possession of marijuana, failure to maintain lane, DUI, and driving without a license.

He is being held in the law enforcement center on a $3,500 property bond.

Concerning incidents occurring in the county, Brian Beggs reported that an unknown person(s) stole a John Deere Gator and a Suzuki King Quad from his property on Aycock-Norman Road. The equipment was valued at a total of $12,500.

The sheriff's office is presently working with investigators from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office to solve the case.

During the month of January, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office made 40 arrests; generated 44 incident reports; investigated four burglaries, nine thefts by taking, and the theft of a four-wheeler; served 37 civil papers; and worked 12 traffic accidents.
