Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L. McKinney are pleased to announce the engagement of Elizabeth Joann McKinney to Brendon Lee Smith.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Gerald and the late Connie Lee McKinney and is a 2008 graduate of Lincoln County High School. She is a student at Georgia Technical Institute and is currently employed at Hardee's.

PFC Smith is a 2007 graduate of Huntingdon Area Senior High School, Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, and is presently serving with the 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he is taking advanced training for medical corpsman. He is the son of Ginger J. Thompson, Huntingdon, PA, and Randall L. Smith, Petersburg, PA.

The happy couple is planning to exchange vows in July.
