McGee and Sims exchange vows in Scottish highland wedding ceremony

MR. AND MRS. THOMAS NIM SIMS MR. AND MRS. THOMAS NIM SIMS Rondi Waller McGee of Charlotte, N.C. and Thomas Nim Sims of Lincolnton exchanged wedding vows in a Scottish highland wedding ceremony on Friday, December 12 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Dornoch Cathedral in Dornoch, Scotland. Rev. Susan Brown of Dornoch officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Waller and Donna Schebel, all of Charlotte, N.C.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Leland of Lincolnton and the late Bill Sims of Atlanta, Ga.

The cathedral is a 13th century par- ish church set in the heart of the royal burgh of Dornoch. Wedding arrangements were made by wedding planner Natasha Honan of Highland County Weddings. Music was performed by a traditional Scottish piper provided by Dornoch Castle.

Following the ceremony, the couple attended a dinner hosted by chef Albert Roux at Rocpool Reserve located in Inverness, Scotland.

The couple honeymooned in Scotland at Dornoch Castle, Glenmorangie Highland Estate, Dalhousie Castle and now reside in Lincolnton.
