Judging others

TO THE EDITOR

During a funeral service I recently attended, the minister said that he could tell the deceased did not attend church because he did not have flowers.

I'm disappointed in this man who is supposedly called by God to spread God's word. Am I to believe as a Christian that these words are of God?

At a time when family and friends need words of comfort, the minister slapped those grieving the loss of our loved one with insult as he lay in his casket before them.

I understand that one day we will all be judged by our deeds. The timing and place of this judgment was inappropriate to say the least.

I just want people to know that God is not taking applications for judges! He, God, does the judging, himself.

Not only do I ask for God's mercy over my friend's family, but I also ask Him to soften the hearts of people so they are not so quick to judge others.
