Delisha Lynn Zellars weds Gregory O. Thomas May 31
Delisha is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Bernard Zellars of Lincolnton and the granddaughter of Mrs. Gladys Jones Harrison of Lincolnton. She is the goddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. T. Marshall Jones of Albany, Ga. She is a graduate of Albany State University and Darton College in Albany, Ga. and was second attendant to Miss Albany State University 2004- 2005. Delisha is a board member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and is employed by Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Belair, Md., as a registered nurse. Greg is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Thomas of Plains, Ga. He is a graduate of South Georgia College and is employed by the United States Marine Corp. as a Combat Engineer. Given in marriage by her father, Delisha chose her friends, Crystal Elam of Atlanta and Crystal Glaze of Lincolnton, to serve as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Sharee Brown of Albany, Ga.; Catrina Cobbs of Cathbert, Ga.; Shermona Culmer of Albany, Ga.; Shanae Dunnaway of Albany, Ga.; Takiyah Jordan of Columbus, Ga., all friends of the bride; Adasha Elam of Augusta; Yalencia Harrison of Augusta, cousins of the bride, and Keisha Thomas of Americus, Ga., sister of the groom. Flower girl was Madison Stewart of Washington, Ga., friend of the bride. Greg chose his friends Michael Durham and Walter Naylor of Albany, Ga., to serve as best men. Groomsmen were Tony Gray of Albany, Ga., friend of the bride; Rushiel Jenkins; Todd Street, of Albany, Ga., friends of the groom; Ronji Norman of Lincolnton, Kyle Gunby of Brandon, Fla., cousins of the bride; Michael Stewart; Anthony Thomas of Albany, Ga., cousin of the groom, and Torri Zellars of Lincolnton, brother of the bride. Ringbearer was Caden J. Zellars of Lincolnton, cousin of the bride. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Richmond on Greene in Augusta. The couple will reside in Bellcamp, Md. |
