Roy Lewis Palmer

Mr. Roy Lewis Palmer, 67, of Rayle, died June 17, 2008 in MCG Medical Center.

Mr. Palmer was a native of Wilkes County, the son of the late Robert Lewis Palmer and the late Joanne Yelton Palmer. He was a retired auto body technician and a member of Newtown Baptist Church.

A graveside memorial service was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 24, in the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Allen Danner officiating.

Survivors include sons and daughters in law, Keith and Cheryl Palmer of Washington, Glenn and Sharon Palmer of Lincolnton, and Randy and Stephanie Palmer of Rayle; one sister, Dell Taylor of Washington; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hephzibah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1750 Hephzibah Church Rd., Lincolnton.
