Citizens invited to voice their opinions on poll

Many people in Lincoln County have expressed disappointment that they would not be able to vote on the three tax related questions on the Republican Party Primary ballot on July 15 because they are going to vote in the Democratic Primary.

These issues are vitally important to the future of all Lincoln County residents. We have made changes to our website to allow all to vote on these issues no matter whether they are Democrat, Republican or independent. Most important is that the voice of all people be heard.

We invite every citizen of Lincoln County to visit our website at http:/ /lincolncountyrepublicanparty.com/ test/ and vote on the home page in this non-binding poll. You can vote anonymously but only once.

The questions are as follows:

1. As provided for in Georgia law,should Lincoln County phase in school tax relief for senior citizens?

2. As provided for in Georgia law should Lincoln County freeze real property assessments for tax purposes until the property is sold?

3. Should the state of Georgia raise sterile grass carp to control hydrilla in our waterways?

If you do not have a computer you can go to our library and use a computer there. The results are not being kept secret. The results are right there for every person to see and will be published in the Journal.
