FSA county committee nominations are underway through August 1
      Agriculture Secretary Ed Schafer announced farmer and rancher candidate nominations began June 15 for local Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees. The nomination period continues through August 1, 2008. Elections take place this fall.

Fund set up
      A special bank account has been set up at Farmers State Bank to benefit Lou McKellar and her daughter, Kelli, whose house burned during a recent move.
