Taking a break from the heat

The swimming pool at the Curry Colvin Recreation Complex provided welcome relief from the recent heat wave which had temperatures topping out in the triple digits - highly unusual for early June. The pool is open from 12 noon until 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is $2. Lifeguard Amanda Scott is shown here teaching Devon Holloway how to float.
