Lincoln's legacy

Lincoln LeRoy, an LCES fifth-grader, earned an unprecedented 735.4 Accelerated Reader (AR) points this year. In recognition of his achievement, a plaque was placed in the school's media center by media specialist Monica Thurmond (also pictured). From now on, the student with the most AR points each year will have his name added to Lincoln's on the plaque. Lincoln is the son of Cindy and Jason LeRoy of Lincolnton.
