Chamber Chatter

Summer is here and there are a number of things happening over the next couple of weeks. First, is the Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce's 2008 Membership Drive. There are a number of reasons for a business to join the chamber, including but not limited to, group health insurance underwritten by Blue Cross/Blue Shield, a drug-free work place program (which could result in a workers compensation insurance discount), listing in both the chamber's printed and on-line membership directory, and not least of which your chamber membership is tax deductible. Over 100 businesses are already chamber members and we are growing every day. For more information about chamber membership, please visit our website at http:/ /www.lincolncountyga.org or contact the chamber office at (706) 359- 7970.

Your chamber also gives back to the community through a number of avenues with our sponsorship of a number of community events as the most recognizable.

Upcoming events for June and July are the Little Mr. and Mrs. Pageant on June 14, 2008 at 7 p.m. at the Lincoln County High School and Thunder over Thurmond on Saturday, July 5 which is a joint effort with the McCormick County Chamber. For additional information about either of these events, please visit our website at http://www.lincolncountyga.org or contact the chamber office at (706) 359-7970.

The chamber has openings for two members on its Board of Directors. Chamber members can submit nominations for these positions to the chamber administrator. Contact the chamber office at (706) 359-7970 for additional information.

The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is your chamber, so we'd like to hear from you. What can your chamber of commerce do for you? You can email your suggestions to lincolncham@nu-z.net or you can call the chamber office at (706) 359-7970.
