The Lincolnton/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Development Authority invited 464 businesses to attend a meeting to help the EF Committee to evaluate the needs of our business community and help develop a strategic plan of action.
The businesses were invited to a round table discussion at the Welcome Center on May 7 to discuss tentative entrepreneur friendly programming. Items on the agenda were:
..Extended shopping hours/after hours shopping events (not to include Holidays In Olde Lincoln Towne)
..Shopping/dining brochures ..Marketing seminars ..Finance seminars
..Buy local campaign
..Payroll stuffers to county employees
.. Coupons book & on website
.. Special occasion wish list ads and flyers Those that attended the meeting were interested in extending shopping hours/after hours shopping events and the shopping/dining brochures.
They were also interested in the buy local coupon book with the payroll stuffers to county employees and the marketing seminar. The attendees were also shown an example of the signage the EF Committee is researching in order to point visitors to the community to the downtown area.
