Residents gather at courthouse today for prayer

Local residents are invited to gather on the front steps of the Lincoln County Courthouse at 12 noon today (Thursday) to observe the 57th Annual "National Day of Prayer (NDP)."

Locally, the day of prayer and repentance is being sponsored by the Lincoln County Ministerial Association.

The theme for the day, "Prayer! America's Strength and Shield," is based on Psalm 28:7: "The Lord is my strength and shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped."

In the event of rain, the prayer service will be held in the courtroom on the second floor of the courthouse.
