Mandy Doss to run for clerk of superior court

AMANDA A. DOSS
Amanda (Mandy) A. Doss, deputy clerk for the Lincoln County Superior Court, has announced her candidacy for the office of superior court clerk in the General Primary set for July 15.

She has served the county as deputy clerk for the past 23 years.

"One of the things that I have enjoyed most while working in the clerk's office is meeting and helping people," stated the candidate. "If elected as clerk, I will continue to make customer service our primary focus."

The superior court clerk's office handles not only criminal and civil matters but also records all official real estate records, including deeds and plats. In addition, the clerk serves as the local passport agent and issues notary public commissions.

"I want to thank Superior Court Clerk Bruce Beggs for mentoring and preparing me for this opportunity," said Doss. "Because of his help, I am ready to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the clerk's office in the manner in which the public expects."

In closing, she thanked everyone for their support and vote.

Doss and her husband, Ernie, have three children, Hillary, Melissa, and Jonathan, and three grandchildren, Shelby, Gage, and Levi.

She and her family are members of Martin's Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church.

A life-long Lincoln County resident and a 1985 graduate of LCHS, the candidate is the daughter of Barbara and Bobby Lee Ashmore.
