Planning meetings The Lincoln County Planning Commission will hold all its regularly scheduled meetings in the Planning and Zoning Conference Room located at 107 Perryman Avenue unless otherwise advertised. Board of elections meetings The regular meetings of the Lincoln County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will be held the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at the Board of Elections, The Lincoln Center, 160 May Ave., Lincolnton, Ga. Any changes to the scheduled dates or alternate dates for meetings occurring on holidays will be posted. Leadership conference First Baptist Church will host a Leadership Conference April 12, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Rev. Dennis Quinn, pastor. Athletic awards night Lincoln County Middle School is planning its first annual Athletic Awards Night for Tues., April 15 at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. All students who participated in sports during the 2007-2008 school year are invited to attend, along with their parents. Golf tourney The Lincoln County Athletic Boosters Club will sponsor a golf tournament March 29 at Golf de L (formerly Rocky Branch Golf Course). It will be a 4-man handicap, 24 max handi- cap with a 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. shotgun. $1000 cash prize closest to pin. Calcutta March 28, 7 p.m. at Golf de L $200 per team, rainout date April 5. Baseball camp The 28th annual Robert Sapp Baseball Camp is accepting applications for its summer session to be held at Sweetwater Park in Thomson, June 2-6, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Camp is for ages 7- 14. Six-year-olds may attend if they are skilled enough to play with the seven-year old group. The fee is $125 with team rates available ($10 discount for five or more players). The camp will feature fundamentals, game competition, videos, motivational and instructional lectures and demonstrations.
