Chief reports on recent police activity in city

An activity report for the Lincolnton Police Department was issued recently by Chief Jim Justice.

According to the chief, the following arrests were made in the city:

.. Patrick Bryant, 32, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct.

.. Erin Batten, 17, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct.

.. Hubert Napier, 48, of Dry Branch, Georgia, charged with theft by taking.

.. Brandon Banks, 26, of Lincolnton, charged with possession of cocaine.

.. Jimmy Ellison, 48, of Lincolnton, charged with theft by taking.

.. Trary Brown, 29, of Lincolnton, charged with possession of marijuana (misdemeanor).

.. Cassandra Beard, 37, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault.

.. Crystal Andrews, 24, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault.

Concerning incidents occurring in the city, Chief Justice noted that Thomas Payne reported that an unknown person(s) pried open one of the doors to his 1999 Jeep Cherokee, while it was parked at his residence on N. Washington Street, and removed tools, valued at less than $500. The subject then broke into the Payne residence, using the stolen tools, and took credit cards, a Social Security card, and $50 in cash from the premises.

The incident is currently under investigation, according to the chief.
