Meg Ball appointed to serve as vice president of Northeast Dist. Board

Sisters Kitty and Meg Ball attended Northeast District Junior/Senior District Project Achievement at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.
Lincoln Co. 4-H'ers attended Northeast District Jr./Sr. DPA at Rock Eagle 4-H Center near Eatonton, Ga. on February 29-March 2.

Over eight hundred 4-H'ers from thirty nine counties were present at this northeast district 4-H function. The Northeast District theme for DPA was celebrating 08. Local 4-H'ers in attendance was sisters Kitty and Meg (Hoopie) Ball. Even though we were small in number Lincoln Co. 4-H was well represented.

Meg Ball did an outstanding job competing in the Public Speaking project. She gave a wonderful speech on the demise of the Amazon Rainforest.

In addition to project competition Meg also ran for a seat on the Northeast District Board.

Unfortunately, Kitty could not compete in a 4-H project area because she mastered the sports project in 2006. She was there in support of her sister and helping her run for a board office seat. At the end of DPA Lincoln Co. 4-H had a phenomenal surprise when Meg Ball's name was called as the Vice President of Northeast District Board 2008-2009.

Congratulations Meg for your appointment as Vice President of Northeast District.
