Helen N. Ferguson

Mrs. Helen N. Ferguson, of Ferguson Justice Road, beloved wife of 41 years of Hugh Allen Ferguson, entered into rest at her residence Monday, March 10, 2008.

Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, from the graveside, at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Wilkes County, Georgia with the Revs. W. C. Bentley and Paul Reviere officiating.

Mrs. Ferguson, was a native of Wilkes County, the daughter of the late Clyde and Ruby Vinson Neville, and had lived in Lincoln County since 1966. She had retired from Thomson Company, was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas (Tommy) Edmunds and two brothers, John Spurgeon Neville and Clyde Edward Neville.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mary Grace Brooks of Lincolnton, Ga.; two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Hunt of Grovetown, Ga. and Myrna Evelyn Fortson of Washington, Ga.; three grandchildren, Emily Vincenza Edmunds, Nick Thomas Edmunds, and Megan Grace Edmunds, all of Lincolnton; and a great-grandson, Thomas Jarrod Edmunds, also of Lincolnton.

Pallbearers were Robert Poss, Robert (Chigger) Wilkes, Perry O'Neal, Mike Fortson, David William Hunt and Michael Ferguson.
