MUTT dog show to benefit MACK and humane society

What is a mutt? On Saturday March 29th we'll define a "MUTT" as the "Most Utterly Totally Terrific Dog" in a show held as a collaborative fundraiser for the MACK and the Humane Society of McCormick County, Inc.

The festivities will kick-off at 11AM with a "Strut Your Mutt" parade in the park located behind the MACK. Registration starts at 10AM and pre-registration using the form below is strongly encouraged for ease of entry. Forms may also be obtained at the Chamber, the MACK & several other locations including area groomers and vets.

The top MUTT for this show will win $100 for the dog that exhibits the most MUTT like qualities. Ribbon prizes will be awarded for specific categories such as Looks Most Like Owner, Best Singer (yes, the companion may sign along) Best Behaved, Most Talented, Best Dressed, Biggest Feet, Best Kisser, Longest Tail, Fastest Tail, Longest Ears, Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Most Colorful, and Most Unidentifiable to breed. There is no charge to attend but there is a charge of $5 per dog to enter the show, which will allow you to enter as many categories you choose. All dogs must be under the direct care of an adult and be on a leash or harness at all times. We also ask that your dog be current with their rabies vaccine. Any dog may enter.

Additionally, there will be delicious food featuring award winning barbeque, demonstrations, and games for the kids,. The BK- Barbeque plates may be purchased ahead of time for $7.50 or on the day of the event for $8 until they run out. Each plate will include your Barbeque sandwich, coleslaw, beans with sausage and a drink. Pre-purchase assures you a plate. There will also be a bake sale to satisfy your sweet tooth. Tickets for the barbeque plates may be purchased through Marilyn Zuch at 864 391-3088 or e-mail to ubu1 @wctel.net or at the MACK 864- 852-3216.

Spaces are available for vendors who would like to sell some of their crafts or white elephant items. Each space is $10 (there are a limited number of spaces offering electricity available for an additional fee).

Please join us for a day of fun and to support both of these worthy causes.

Questions may be directed to the event coordinator, Marilyn Zuch at 864-391-3088 or e-mail to ubu1 @wctel.net
