Frances Bunch Smalley

Mrs. Frances Bunch Smalley, 91 of Smalley Road, entered into rest Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Lake Crossing Health Care, Appling, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Revs. David Jenkins and Allen Danner officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Smalley, daughter of the late Gideon Webster and Frances Thurmond Bunch, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. She was a homemaker who enjoyed children, cats, dogs, and sewing. She was also a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Smalley, Jr.

Survivors include a daughter, Lilly S. Good and husband, Herman of Martinez, Ga.; a son, Michael Smalley and friend, Wendy of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Leslie Katherine Good and Sara Frannces Good; a brother, Thomas H. Bunch of Lincolnton; a sister-in-law, Evelyn F. Smalley of Lincolnton; many nieces and nephews; and a very special niece, Jackie Willingham of Lincolnton.

Pallbearers were Charlie Smalley, Tommy Bunch, Tim Bunch, Henry Justice and Jimmy Willingham.
