Leroy Huff, Sr.

Leroy Huff, Sr., 86, entered into rest on Thursday, February 7, 2008.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 at Mt. Pleasant Church with Rev. Abraham Mosley officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Memorial Park.

A native of Oglethorpe County, Mr. Huff was the son of the late Phil and Rosa Lee Wise Huff. Serving in the Army Air Corps in Europe and the Pacific during World War II, he was a member of VFW Post 3910. Mr. Huff retired from Northeast Sales Distributing and was a member and served on the Deacon Board of Mt. Pleasant Baptist church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Son Huff.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Wingfield Huff of Athens; children, Leroy Huff, Jr., Josephine Liston and Peggy Liston all of Athens and Willie Moss of Decatur; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Georgia, 2951 Flowers Rd. South, Suite 211, Atlanta, Ga. 30341.

Mr. Huff's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Bernstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
