Eastern Star, MCG and Wills Memorial sponsor health fair

A health fair will be held Saturday, February 16, from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Lincolnton Masonic Lodge on Peachtree Street.

The event is being sponsored by the Homer Legg #535 Order of the Eastern Star, along with the Medical College of Georgia and Wills Memorial Hospital.

The fair will feature the following services:

.. Cholesterol and glucose screenings - MCG.

.. Height/weight, with body fat analysis, and blood pressure screenings - Wills Memorial Hospital.

.. Information on home healthcare as well as long-term care - CareSouth and Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.

.. General health information - Dr. Nadine S. Halliburton, Medlink of Washington's newest physician; MCG; and the Lincoln County Health Department.

.. Glaucoma screenings and visual acuity checks - Wilkes Eye Center.

The Lincolnton Masonic Lodge is located next door to The Hobby Corner and across the street from The Lincoln Journal.
