Annie Mae Partlow Blackwell

Mrs. Annie Mae Partlow Blackwell, 81, entered into rest on Monday, January 28, 2008 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2 at New Tabernacle Baptist Church with Revs. Matthew Harden, Roy D. Andrews, Franklin Jones and Albert Bell officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Blackwell was born April 29, 1926 in Lincoln County to the late Mr. Robert Partlow, Sr. and Mrs. Pinkie Parks Partlow. She was a member of New Tabernacle Baptist Church and a homemaker that loved cooking and caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Blackwell, Sr. and two sons, Leroy Blackwell and Bobby J. Partlow (Pee Wee).

Survivors include two daughters, Josie M. Blackwell and Rosie M. Blackwell, both of Lincolnton; two sons, Paul Blackwell, Jr. (Carolyn) and Danny H. Partlow, both of Lincolnton; one brother, Robert Partlow, Jr. of Lincolnton; two brothers-in-law, Frank Blackwell and Silas Blackwell, both of Chicago, Il; two sisters-inlaw, Paulene Burton (Melvin) of Chicago and Effie Jane Partlow of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were nephews. Flower bearers were nieces.

Norris W. Gunby, Sr. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
