Republican party to hold Mass Meetings March 15

The Lincoln County Republican Party will convene Precinct Mass Meetings on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 9 a.m. to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Lincoln County Republican Party Convention.

The County Convention will convene at 10:00 a.m. on March 15 at the same location for the purpose of electing delegates and alternate delegates to the Congressional District Convention and the State Convention. The purpose of the Congressional District Convention is to elect three delegates and three alternates to the 2008 Republican National Convention to be held in St. Paul, Minnesota beginning September 1, 2008.

Both Precinct Mass Meetings and County Convention will be held at the Dova Partridge Annex at the Lincoln County Library.

All Lincoln County residents who are legally registered to vote and believe in the principles of the Republican Party are urged to participate in this process.

The 10th Congressional District Convention will convene on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the UGA Center for Continuing Education, 1197 Lumpkin Street, in Athens, Georgia.

The Georgia Republican Party State Convention will convene on Friday, May 16, 2008 in Columbus, Georgia and will elect 30 delegates and alter- nates at large to the 2008 Republican National Convention.

Registration and participation at Precinct Mass Meetings, County Convention, District Convention or State Convention is not allowed after the event's designated start time.
