Grand jury disposes of numerous cases during January Term of court

The Lincoln County Grand Jury met Wednesday, January 30, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, with Chief Judge Roger W. Dunaway, Jr. presiding.

During the proceedings, the grand jury handed down the following indictments:

.. Alveder Becks and Regina Norman, Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA) (possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine.)

Becks was further indicted on charges of possession of sawed off firearms, possession of a firearm dur- ing the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

.. David Bragg, child molestation and sexual battery (misdemeanor).

.. Rodney Brunner, theft by deception.

.. Sandra Buck and James Fox, 13 counts of forgery in the first degree and theft by receiving stolen property (misdemeanor).

.. Derrick Burns, theft by receiving stolen property and fleeing and attempting to elude an officer (misdemeanor).

.. Ronnie Bynes, VGCSA (possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine) and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

.. Jonathan Chastain and Bradley Johnson, theft by taking and two counts of criminal trespass.

.. Jeffery Elam, theft by receiving stolen property (misdemeanor).

.. Joshua Guyton, Blake Lively, and Christopher Quarles, theft by taking.

.. A.J. Harris, VGCSA (possession of cocaine), driving without a license (misdemeanor), and speeding (misdemeanor).

.. Margaret Hawes, simple battery (misdemeanor).

.. David Moon, criminal trespass (misdemeanor) and public drunkenness (misdemeanor).

.. Kathy Rhodes, Kelli Broome, and Robert Lagroon, seven counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor (misdemeanor).

.. John Rogers and William Rogers, theft by receiving stolen property.

John Rogers was also indicted on two counts of burglary.

.. Monica Simmons, criminal attempt to give contraband to inmates.

.. Cruise Spellins, theft by taking.

.. Ronder White, aggravated stalking.

.. Marcovius Beard, statutory rape.

.. Ramone Riley, theft by taking.

.. Eric Bussey, violation of the Sexual Offender Registry Act.

.. Christopher Jefferies, violation of the Sexual Offender Registry Act.

.. Michael Elam, VGCSA (possession of cocaine.)
