Thirty-five young ladies to vie for the title of Miss LCMS tonight

Thirty-five young ladies in grades six, seven, and eight will take part in the annual Miss LCMS Pageant tonight (Thursday) at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

The emcee for the occasion is Jimi Lane of Harlem, with entertainment provided by vocalists Tiquila Williams and Donquita Williams.

In addition to Miss LCMS, the judges will select grade winners, and a Miss Congeniality for the pageant will be named.

Moreover, Brittany Perkins, Miss LCMS 2007, will be on hand to crown the pageant winner.

Competing for the title of Miss LCMS are:

Six Graders - Ivie Sue Aycock, Taylor Tiana Benning, Callie Alexandria Bryan, Ashton "Bailey" Crosby, Brittany Nicole Gaines, Aubrey Chalayne Garcia, Jasmine Hearst, Maggie Partridge, Alanna Grace Sample, Caroline Spratlin, and Whitley Alexandria Wright.

Seventh Graders - Ashley Nicole Asbell, Emily "Behren" Bass, Renee Beeland, Emily Marie Beggs, Jasmine Lashay Benning, Alison Renee Chalker, Ciara Ann Cosby, Heather Furr, Precious Gray, Brett Elizabeth Matthews, Shelby Alexis Parham, and Alexis Simmons.

Eighth Graders - Lisette Archer- Barber, Miranda Beale, Hannah Blaire Bryant, Annah Crook, Amber Gaines, Hannah Elisabeth Hollimon, Dakota Lorenzen, Brooke Lyons, Matessia Murray, Kathryn Chamblin Poss, Kathryn Grace Remsen, Kayla D. Saitow, and Amanda Sims.

The contestants will be escorted by the winners of the Mr. LCMS Contest, held Monday, February 4.

Admission is $4 for high school students and adults and $3 for middle and elementary school students. Children under the age of five will be admitted free of charge. Middle school Gold Cards will be accepted.
