Vicky Tucker

Vicky Henderson Tucker, 64, of Greenwood, S.C., entered into rest Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at her home.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 29 at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Kenny Smith, John Griffith and Jim Johnston officiating. Interment was in Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Born in Greenwood County September 8, 1943, she was a daughter of Annie Hallback Henderson and the late Raymond F. Henderson. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and was formerly employed by Monsanto. She retired from Suburban Propane Gas Company as regional coordinator. She was a member of Greenwood Wesleyan Church where she served as choir director and as praise team leader. She was a member of the Senior Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. John Sproles Tucker; her mother, Annie H. Henderson of Greenwood; a daughter, Cindy Tucker Hawks and husband, Tim of High Point, N.C.; a son, Tony Tucker and fiancee, Trisha Dickson of Hickory Tavern, S.C.; a sister, Elaine H. Poss of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Derek and wife, Lindsay Tucker, Nathan and wife, Jennifer Drake, Laci Tucker and Jessica Hawks; three great-grandchildren, Chase Tucker, Renee and Brynlee Drake.

Pallbearers were Rev. Stanley Sprouse, Bryan Calliham, Matt Chastine, Tommy Calliham, J.B. Calliham and John Jay Cannon. Honorary escorts were the men of Greenwood Wesleyan Church along with employees of Suburban Propane Gas Company.
