Say it loud, say it proud
When did we start calling Christmas the "holidays," all in the name of political correctness?
Words are powerful. In ancient times, a person's name was thought to embody his character.
By bending to the will of the PC gods, we dilute the meaning of Christmas by referring to it as anything other than what it is.
As Christians, we should just throw caution to the wind and yell "Merry Christmas" long, loud, and often — in the stores, from our car windows, at the post office, and especially in our hearts. We should get positively giddy with the great joy of the wonderfulness of it all.
We have been given a child to show us the way home to our Father, whose love for us is stronger than even death. It's a time for all of us sinners to bust loose and rejoice.
Christmas is about life — life eternal. To water it down and separate it from its true meaning is to miss the whole point. It might as well be any other day of the year.
So go out, tuck a sprig of holly in your hair, and reclaim Christmas!
