Donald Lamar Williams

Mr. Donald Lamar Williams, of Broad River Scenic Drive, entered into rest on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

Funeral service were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, at Rees Funeral Home with Rev. Addison Belangia officiating. Interment followed at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Don was 62 years old and a native of College Park, Riverdale and Jonesboro, Georgia. He was retired from American General Life Insurance Company. He was a 32nd Mason of Grand Lodge of Georgia #691, a member of Henry County Moose Lodge #2170 and the Georgia Sheriff's Association. Don had one wish in life and that was to live on Clark Hill Lake and die there, this was his dream come true when he moved here in 2005. He loved to camp, fish and all lake activities. Too bad the lake has been down these past two years for him to enjoy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaree Cochran of Jonesboro, Ga.; father, Ervin Williams of Forest Park, Ga. and son, Stevie Williams of Jonesboro.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Williams; two sons, Vic Williams and wife, Emilee of McDonough, Ga. and Greg Williams and wife, Kerri of Locust Grove, Ga.; a sister, Lane Trotter and husband, Charlie of Luthersville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Cole, Sophie, Karsyn and Alaina; and many other family members.
