The time is December 1941, right after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and all the men of Siler City are ready to join in the fighting. The Sanders Family will be sending one of the twins, Dennis (he's the boy), off to join the army, and everyone is already feeling the effects of rationing. But it's Christmas and the family is making one last appearance at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

Heading the cast are Burl, played by Rick Price, and Vera, played by Kay Nelms. They are the parents of the twins, Denise, played by Emma Collins of Lincolnton, and Dennis, played by Zach Gebin.

Uncle Stanley, played by Stan Coe, is now a famous recording star but has come home for Christmas, and June, who doesn't sing (she signs), is played by Cindy Russell, and is in for a big surprise.

Brian Baldwin rounds out the cast as Rev. Mervin Oglethorpe. "Miss Maude" and "Miss Myrtle," played by Rosemary Hopkins and Anna Norman Heaton, will, as usual, be keeping their eyes on everything that is going on.

Shay Harris is the music director, and the band is comprised of Sherri Bowers, piano; Emory Ware, fiddle and bass; Skip Padgett, guitar; Jacob Davis, banjo; and Pat Niemann, washboard. Stan Coe also joins the band on bass and guitar. Diana Hall is the stage manager.

Reservations may be made by calling the Little Theater reservations number, 706-678-9582. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under; members may use their cards.
