Historical society to sponsor Tree of Remembrance

The Lincoln County Historical Society is honored to sponsor the Tree of Remembrance for 2008. The lighting of the tree will take place on December 6th during the Holidays in Olde Lincoln Towne Festival and will remain lit throughout the Christmas Season. The tree is located at the intersection of Peachtree and Main Streets.

A light "In Honor" or "In Memory" of can be placed on the Remembrance Tree for $1 donation per name. Registers for the names are displayed at the following locations: City Pharmacy, Crawford-Breazeale Drug Co., and Jericho Florist. In addition, registers will be available on November 22 at Pioneer Days at the Historical Park. Also, requests can be mailed to Mrs. Laura Spratlin, P. O. Box 463, Lincolnton, Georgia 30817. Names will be listed in the Lincoln Journal each week and posted at City Hall.

The members of the Lincoln County Historical Society extend a heartfelt "Thank you" for your participation and support of the Tree of Remembrance for 2008. This is a wonderful way of publicly honoring, remembering or thanking a special loved one, family member, teacher or mentor. All donations will be used for the maintenance and preservation of the Historical Park.
