The students and teachers at LCMS conducted a mock election on Monday, October 27.

The results were as follows:

.. Lincoln County Commission Chairman: Walker Norman (66 percent of the vote) and Wade Johnson (34 percent).

.. Lincoln County Sheriff: Bruce Beggs (64 percent of the vote) and Gerald Lawson (36 percent).

.. Lincoln County Probate Judge: Lee Moss (52 percent of the vote) and Joe Banks (48 percent).

.. President: John McCain and Barack Obama both received 50 percent of the vote.

.. United States Senator: Jim Martin (55 percent of the vote) and Saxby Chambliss (45 percent).

.. United States Congressman: Paul Broun (58 percent of the vote) and Bobby Saxon (42 percent).

Two hundred and forty-eight students cast ballots in the election. However, some chose not to vote in every race.
