Chief Justice reports on departmental activities
An activity report for the Lincoln County Police Department was issued recently by Chief Jim Justice.
According to the chief, the following arrests were made in the city:
.. Donya Barsh, 25, of Lincolnton, charged with possession of marijuana, less than one ounce.
.. Maurice Andrews, 32, of Lincolnton, charged with theft by taking.
.. Michael Lockhart, 39, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
.. Cherie Mickens, 23, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct.
.. Teresa Andrews, 43, of Lincolnton, charged with disorderly conduct.
.. Samuel Wright, 20, of Lincolnton, charged with obstruction of a law enforcement officer, having no license on his person, and DUI.
.. Michael Steadman, 39, of McCormick, South Carolina, charged with theft by taking (more than $500).
.. Bill Anderson, 48, of Washington, charged with having no license on his person, violation of the open container law, and DUI.
.. Gerald Duckworth, 37, of Piedmont, South Carolina, charged with speeding and DUI.
.. Bradley Rogers, 39, of Wrens, charged with public drunk.
In addition, Chief Justice reported that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Rasheed Lazenby, 19, of Lincolnton, on two counts of forgery in the first degree.
Law enforcement officials are also looking for Vick Anderson, 31, of McCormick, who is wanted for aggravated assault and simple battery.
Concerning incidents occurring in the city:
.. Amy Wheatley reported that an unknown person(s) entered her 2008 Ford F-250 and removed her purse, which contained $15 in cash and her driver's license. The crime was committed while her vehicle was parked on Lillian Sims Drive during a football game.
.. Jennifer Smith reported that an unknown person(s) broke the passenger side window of her 2000 Chevrolet Blazer and stole her purse containing seven gold rings, valued at a total of $1,500; $400 in cash; and her driver's license, debit card, and checkbook. At the time of the theft, Smith's vehicle was parked on Lillian Sims Drive.
.. Wanda Jenkins reported that an unknown person(s) broke the passenger side window of her 2007 Honda Pilot, while it was parked on Lillian Sims Drive during a football game. Nothing was reported missing.
.. Willie Mickens reported that an unknown person(s) stole 38 Hydrocodone tablets from him, while he was visiting a relative on Joan Way.
.. Jametrus Freeman reported that an unknown person(s) stole his Davis Industries .380 handgun, valued at $150.
.. Opal Harcourt reported that an unknown person(s) removed a Murray lawnmower, valued at $299, from her residence on Drinkard Street.
.. Alvin Murray reported that an unknown person(s) stole his wallet, which contained $120, his Social Security Card, etc., while he was at Bell's Food Market.
.. Joyce Meeks reported that an unknown person(s) stole her debit card number and completed transactions in the amount of $199 in Miami, Florida.
.. Michael Lockhart reported that an unknown person(s) removed CDs, valued at a total of $50, from his vehicle, while it was parked at his residence on Joan Way.
