TO THE EDITOR

I want to take this opportunity to thank each citizen of our great county who saw fit to offer their time and efforts to all of us by offering for public service.

We, as a group, have chosen those we felt are better suited to lead us in the next four years. They have sacrificed their time and pledged their allegiance for the betterment of the county. They cannot do the best for our county without support and encouragement from each of us. Therefore, let each of us also do the same, whether they were our choice or not.

If we treat them as leaders for the best government possible with the least cost, we will all win. If we seek to secure special favors for our own benefit, most of us will lose.

We must remember those famous words of President Kennedy, "Ask not what our country can do for us, but what we can do for our country." If we follow the meaning of his words, we will have better government with less cost to the taxpayers.
