Ashlyn N. Winfrey and Charles R. Reese exchange vows Oct. 4
      Ashlyn Nicole Winfrey and Charles Ryan Reese of Evans exchanged wedding vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the home of the bride's parents at 206 East Robert Toombs Avenue in Washington Saturday, October 4, at six thirty-o'clock in the evening. Rev. Chris Townsend of Washington and Rev. Jim Newsome of Rayle officiated.

Two new great-grandchildren
     William Norman of Lincolnton was recently blessed with the births of two new great-grandchildren, making a total of 13 great-grands to enjoy! Elliott David Stinson (l), son of Amie and Dale Stinson of Springfield, Tennessee and Olivia Gail Finnegan, daughter of Julie and Rod Finnegan of Colbert, Georgia, made their debut on September 18 and September 26, 2008, respectively. Maternal grandmothers are the former Ellen (Norman) Richard of Franklin, Tennessee and Wanda (Norman) Cawthon of Thomson, Georgia.

      .. William and Lee Bentley and Jane Young spent Monday in Greenwood at Self Memorial Hospital with their sister, Brenda Bowick. She had surgery, is doing all right, is home but still needs our prayers. .. Alvin Cox was a lunch guest Thursday of William and Lee Bentley.

      Jack Keenan, son of Trey and Melissa Keenan of Augusta, celebrated his first birthday on October 25, 2008, at the home of his grandparents, Bob and Shirley Campbell of Lincolnton. Grandmother Betty Keenan and greatgrandmother, Mable Wright, both of Augusta, were also present.

Bussey celebrates third birthday on two occasions
      Braylon Bussey, son of Chad and Joy Bussey, celebrated his third birthday on Monday, October 27, 2008 with friends at his daycare, KB Kids, operated by Kizzy Bussey. The children enjoyed ice cream. Braylon also celebrated with an outing to Chuck E Cheese with his family on Sunday, November 2.

Garrard attends Philadelphia Athletics Baseball Historical Society conference
      Ruth Garrard of Lincolnton and Diana Brissie of North Augusta, recently attended the Philadelphia Athletics Baseball Historical Society Conference in Philadelphia. The Pennsylvania ladies played baseball in the All American Girl's Professional Baseball League with McComb playing for the Springfield Sallies and Ferguson playing for the Rockford Peaches.
