Dear Hearts and Gentle People
      I don't know when my love of boiled (or "boylled" as we say around here) peanuts began but it has lasted sixty years and I've never lost a taste for them in all that time. In fact, ask the right people around town and you'll find out that I used to be called "Peanut" because of my obsession with, as some call them, Southern Caviar.

Remarkable Georgians
      TO THE EDITOR That some mighty special people inhabit the great state of Georgia became clear to us fourteen years ago when my niece Kelly married a Georgia boy, Patrick Jones of Athens. He has since charmed us all, so much so that we proudly wear the Dawg caps he gave us.

Pay taxes, want benefits
      TO THE EDITOR I have lived in Lincoln County for 22 years. Don't bother looking for my road on a county map, all you will find are lines on the map. Fishing Creek Subdivision, 1076 Third St., is not there. Although I have been upgraded to an "FL," I still get my mail from Tignall.
