The City of Lincolnton voted to purchase a new garbage truck at its regular meeting held Monday, November 3. The purchase will be funded by a grant/loan from USDA-RD (Rural Development). A "Poker Run & Trail Ride" for bikers and cowboys will be held Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Bussey Point Recreation Area to benefit Gena Tankersley Freeman, who suffered a stroke earlier this year.
