Mr. Edward Dechau, Jr., 79, of Flowery Branch, Ga., entered into rest Sunday, October 12, 2008.

A memorial service was held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 16 at Buford Presbyterian Church in Buford, Ga. with Dr. John Roark officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Azalean Ross Dechau of Flowery Branch, formerly of Lincolnton; four children; ten grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.

Mr. Dechau was born in Louisville, Ga. on December 5, 1928. He was a graduate of Georgia Teachers College in Statesboro, Ga. and a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for six years. He taught school and retired after 30 years of service. He was an elder of Buford Presbyterian Church.

Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
