ACS schedules volunteer summit in Thomson Nov. 13
The American Cancer Society will hold a Volunteer Summit at the Best Western - White Columns Inn in Thomson on Thursday, November 13, 2008, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
This special meeting will offer educational programming for volunteers who are involved with the American Cancer Society in the South Atlantic Division. It will also feature a Volunteer Recognition Dinner to recognize community volunteers for their contributions to the American Cancer Society's mission.
The Summit program agenda will include an opening General Session to provide volunteers an update on the American Cancer Society and the South Atlantic Division priority outcomes.
The Summit will also offer a workshop providing an overview of the American Cancer Society as well as exploring the community cancer burden and the American Cancer Society programs that address these issues.
