Fair comes to town Oct. 28

Celebrate fall while enjoying the games, rides, and food at the 56th Annual Lincoln County Fair, which starts Tuesday, October 28, and continues through Saturday, November 1.

Sponsored by American Legion Post 194, the fair will be held at the legion fairground off of the Augusta Highway.

The gates open at 6 p.m. each evening. In lieu of an admission charge, visitors must pay $1 per car for parking.

The ride prices are as follows:

.. Tuesday and Thursday are family nights. Fair goers may enjoy unlimited rides for $10, with a $5 coupon. The coupons will be distributed to various businesses around town.

.. Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. An armband, giving the holder unlimited rides, may be purchased for $15.

In addition to the rides and games, the American Legion Post 194 Ladies Auxiliary will be serving breakfast with a smile, starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Then, beginning at 11:30 a.m. each day, the menu will shift from breakfast to lunch/dinner fair, with plenty of chicken and dumplings, soup, chili, pinto beans, potato salad, cole slaw, deviled eggs, hamburgers, and hotdogs.
