Six young men from the Paul Anderson Youth Home as well as several other hardy souls participated in a 500-mile bike ride to raise money and awareness for their "home." Although this is the third annual ride, it marks the first time the cyclists have passed through Lincolnton. Among the other towns visited were Atlanta, Rome, Chatsworth, Tallulah Falls, Elberton, and Augusta. The trip began and ended in Vidalia.
