Minnie Freeland Clark

Mrs. Minnie Freeland Clark, 65 of Chamberlains Ferry Rd. died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tues., Oct. 14, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Paul C. Reviere officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Clark, daughter of the late Frank M and Ida Quarles Freeland was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County. She was a produce clerk at Bell's Food Store.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Clark, and siblings, Georgia Goldman, Charles D. Dill and Oliver Dill.

Survivors include her sons, Bruce Freeland, and wife, Shelia of Elberton; and Johnny Freeland of Lincolnton; a daughter, Joy Clark of Lincolnton; a brother, Frank Freeland of Washington; sisters, Doris Blackburn and Jean Brown, both of Lincolnton, Mae Lumpkin, California and Gloria Freeland, Kentucky; grandchildren, Bruce Freeland, Jr. and Jason and Jarrod Scales.
