MRS. MICHAEL AUSTIN CURLEY Carolyn Louise McClendon and Michael Austin Curley were united in holy marriage at 6:00 p.m., Saturday August 30, 2008 at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Lincolnton, Ga. Celebrants were Reverend Thomas G. Hall of Hephzibah, Ga. and Reverend Thomas Moon of Lincolnton, Ga.

Carolyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee McClendon of Lincolnton, Ga. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.S. Culbreath of Evans, Ga. and Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Davidson of Lincolnton. She is a 2007 graduate of Westminster Schools of Augusta in Augusta. She currently attends Augusta State University.

Austin is the son of Ms. Rose Hardin Curley of Lincolnton and Mr. Michael Curley of Lincolnton. He is the grandson of the late Mr. R. J. and the late Mrs. Mildred P. Mildred Hardin and the late Mr. Jerry Curley of Augusta and Ms. Elizabeth Virginia Curley of Augusta. He is a 2005 graduate of Lincoln County High School in Lincolnton. He is employed by Rayle Electric Cooperative as an apprentice lineman.

Given in marriage by her mother and father, Carolyn chose her cousin, Mrs. Whitney Stokes Moody of Anderson, S.C. as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Leigh Ann Curley of Lincolnton, sister of the groom, Miss Ashlee Louise Sample of Lincolnton, and Miss Andrea Blair Stokes of Anderson, S.C., cousins of the bride. Flower girl was Miss Gracie Ann Self of Parksville, S.C., friend of the bride and groom.

Austin chose his father, Mr. Mike Curley of Lincolnton, to serve as his best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Timothy Patrick Doyle, Mr. Christopher Lee Guin, and Mr. Garrett Jackson O'Neil, all of Lincolnton, friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Mr. Luke Conrad Culbreath of North Augusta, S.C. and Mr. Dylan Blake Waldrop of Wellford, S.C., cousins of the bride.

Acolytes were Mrs. Donna Leida of Augusta, and Mrs. Brenda McGahee of Lincolnton, friends of the bride. Guest book attendant was Miss Shondra Renee Rogers of Lincolnton, and Miss Alanna Grace Sample of Lincolnton, cousins of the bride.

The pianist was Mrs. Twila Newman of Evans, Ga. The videographer was Mr. Ken Adair of Evans and photographer was Mrs. Gloria Welch of Thomson, Ga.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Savannah Lake Resort and Marina in McCormick, S.C. The couple will reside in Lincolnton.
