Several cases disposed of during pre-trial hearings
Pre-trial hearings were held Friday, September 26, at the Lincoln County Courthouse, with Judge Harold A. Hinesley, Jr. presiding.
The following cases were disposed of during the proceedings:
.. Eddie Dean Skinner pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and was sentenced to six years, 32 months in confinement, with credit for time served, and the balance on probation; a $1,000 fine plus surcharges; and the drug package.
The drug package is a special condition of probation which provides for drug treatment and counseling as well as random testing. It also requires the defendant to submit to searches of his person and/or property upon request.

Norman was likewise granted first offender status, which means that if the defendant meets all of the terms and conditions of probation, he will be discharged under the first offender law, with no criminal record.
.. Jeremy Donte Wilson pleaded guilty to Violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (VGCSA [felony possession of marijuana]) and was sentenced to five years probation, a $750 fine plus surcharges, 96 hours community service, and the drug package.
